The centre currently runs five programs:

1. Home for the senior citizens

The foundation stone for this Home for the Aged within the Centre of Services for Helpless was laid on March 14, 1991. Late Uday Lal Shrestha, a resident of Battisputali in Kathmandu, contributed Rs. 10,00,000 (Rs. one million) for the construction of the building, which was inaugurated on September 7, 1995.

Initially the Home for the Aged had one senior citizen and two staff to take care of him. Now that building houses 28 senior citizens (till 15 September 2005) and 7 staff members, and can accommodate up to 40 senior citizens.

Provisions have been made to place two people in each room. Each floor has a toilet, and some rooms have attached bathrooms. The residents eat nutritious and healthy food that is prepared in a separate kitchen.
